1What grades does ROWS offer?
Whitby provides a compelling continuum of education for children age 18 months through Grade 8.
2Is Whitby co-ed?
Yes! Whitby is a co-ed school.
3What is the student to teacher ratio at ROWS?
Whitby offers a student-faculty ratio of 5:1. Many classrooms have multiple teachers to ensure tailored, individual attention. Read more on the ROWS Difference page.
4What is ROWS uniform policy?
All students from Primary 1 through Grade 8 are required to wear the ROWS School Uniform.
5Does ROWS offer transportation options for students?
Busing is available for students in Primary 3 through Grade 8 who live in Greenwich. It's also easy to form a carpool with other Whitby School families. Current Whitby families can sign in to the Veracross Parent Portal, click on “Directory” (with the @ symbol) at the top of the page, choose the "Nearby Families" tab, and a list of families living near you will be shown.
6How diverse is the ROWS community?
Whitby has a diverse student body with 17 countries represented speaking over 23 languages.
7Is there an English as an Additional Language (EAL) program for students coming from overseas?
The EAL Program at Whitby is committed to providing a developmental language education that will prepare students to function successfully in their mainstream classroom, with access to the classroom curriculum. Whitby’s EAL teachers provide direct instruction related to language proficiency, aid teachers in differentiating content instruction with in-class support, and provide ongoing professional development for all staff in best practices for EAL students.
